The Floating Murinsel

The Murinsel at nighttime

Is it a ship?! An island?! No, it's...the Murinsel! Join us as we travel to this week’s iconic #AustrianExplorer destination, the Murinsel, a shell-like, floating attraction situated on the river Mur in Graz. Designed by the American artist Vito Acconci in 2003, this work of art functions both as a cultural center and an event venue. Enjoy the first warm days of spring over an afternoon coffee, soak in the day’s last rays of sun at the cocktail bar, or catch one of the many cultural events and exhibitions taking place on the island throughout the year!
