On March 29, 2024, Consul General Michael Postl and Trade Commissioner Volker Ammann officiated the grand opening of the Austrian Honorary Consulate in Phoenix, AZ and welcomed Honorary Consul Andrea Wimmer, an attorney, who originally hails from Bad Ischl, Austria. On the occasion, a ReFocusAustria - event aimed at fostering collaboration and exploring new opportunities between Austria and Arizona, provided an opportunity for the Austrian community to network with business leaders.
