Austrian author Marianne Jungmaier takes the audience on a journey to the Austrian countryside – and a childhood, in which cakes and silence hide a family secret, with her renowned novel THE CAKE PROTOCOL.

In her poetry collection HARLOTS IM HERZEN she dexterously combines English and German to melodious cosmopolitan pieces. The event will be followed by a Q&A.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Marianne Jungmaier was Born in 1985 in Linz, Austria, and has been working as a poet and author since 2011. She has has studied Digital Television, Film Sciences, Journalism and Cultural Theory, Elocution and Creative Writing.

Her work is and was funded, among others, by the Austrian Ministry of Arts, regional Austrian art councils as well as the German Literary Funds. She has received numerous awards and residencies, works with other media, and teaches creative writing in various settings.
