Washington, DC: Reading - “They Clasp my Hand”

The ACF DC is honored to welcome author Elisabeth Frischauf for a reading of her book THEY CLASP MY HAND | DIE MEINE HAND ERGREIFEN, which was published in English as well as German in 2022.

Through her moving poetry she tells the story of her family fleeing Austria during World War II, the loss of her grandmothers and extended family during the Holocaust, and stories of her life growing up in America as a daughter of refugees. At the Austrian Cultural Forum she will give further insight into her book in a conversation with Johannes Aigner, Director of the ACF DC.

Elisabeth Frischauf is a neuro-psychiatrist, artist and poet who lives and works in New York.
