Ambassador Schneebauer Attends Ribbon Cutting, Meets Austrian Community in Illinois

Ambassador Petra Schneebauer traveled to Illinois on June 7, 2023 to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony for Palfinger’s new headquarters in Schaumburg, Il. The Austrian company is the world market leader of innovative crane and lifting solutions and on course for expanded growth in North America, becoming the leading supplier in all product lines.

In addition, the Ambassador also had an opportunity to meet representatives of the Austrian communities in the Midwest, including Honorary Consul Reinhold Kramer, before visiting the Chicago headquarters of Austrian steelmaker Voestalpine.

This occasion constituted another important step forward under ReFocus Austria initiative aimed at supporting Austrian companies abroad and securing foreign investment in Austria.
