2023 Annual Botstiber Lecture

The Embassy had the pleasure to host the 2023 Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American Studies’ (BIAAS) public lecture on Friday, May 23, 2023.

Larry Wolff, Julius Silver Professor of European History at New York University, engaged the crowd with a lively speech on "The Afterlives of Empresses: Woodrow Wilson, Die Frau ohne Schatten, and Zita in America," followed by a brief Q&A.

While in Washington, DC, the BIAAS board of advisors also held their yearly meeting to review the many research grant applications received by the Institute. We are grateful for their commitment to research in the field of Austrian-American studies.
