Austrian Consulate in New York welcomes Austrian runners ahead of the New York City Marathon.

In keeping with an annual tradition, the Austrian Consulate in New York hosted a reception for Austrian runners ahead of the New York City Marathon, which took place on Sunday, November 3, 2024. Deputy Consul General Johannes Gassner welcomed almost 50 athletes who traveled all the way from Austria to participate in the race.

At the reception, the guests enjoyed a sumptuous buffet with traditional Austrian food and beverages. The aim was to provide them with the strength and sustenance necessary for their athletic challenge. The Austrian Consulate was delighted to hear that all participants managed to successfully complete the Marathon and would like to congratulate the runners on this great achievement!
