A bipartisan group of Members of Congress visited Vienna in November. The group met with Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer on November 11, 2024; on the occasion, the Chancellor emphasized that strong foundations and the continuity of the transatlantic relationsship evident in the visit. In addition, the group also met with Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg to discuss pressing international issues. Also in attendance were State Secretary Claudia Plakholm, the Ambassador of the United States to Austria, Victoria Kennedy, and the Austrian Ambassador to the United States, Petra Schneebauer.
