Annual Hanukkah Celebration

The Austrian Embassy was delighted to host the annual Hanukkah Celebration at the Embassy in collaboration with the AJC Washington Regional Office on December 3, 2024 and welcomed many guests from the Jewish Community. The joint celebration marks the continuation of a tradition of 14 years and counting. Since it was an early celebration this year, Rabbi Shafner illuminated a symbolic candle, representing hope and resilience, as the talented young a cappella group Kol Sasson provided the musical entertainment for the evening. Guests enjoyed traditional Apfelstrudel & Schlagobers, Glühwein and other delicacies, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.
